Faceless Bureaucrats: Dan

Dan DeLay (Deputy Manager)

Q: How many bureaucrats does it take to screw in a light bulb?
A: Two. One to assure everyone that everything possible is being done while the other screws the bulb into the water faucet.

Well, how about that. German politics is good for surprises yet, apparently. I’m not really a huge fan of Frau Merkel, but I’ll say this much: There might be something to be said for having somebody with a legitimate PhD (she’s a quantum physicist or something) in charge…

I was thinking about writing something here on the subject, by way of talking about a certain sign/symbol/letter/glyph that originated in Germany, but I found it difficult to triangulate what approach would be best. I was gonna use pretty harsh language, to be honest. Still seems appropriate, but I’ll hold back on that for a while. Right now I’m tickled pink, as the saying goes, in light of recent developments.
